Different types of people treat the bedroom differently. Some just want a "sleeping place", others a real work of modern art, and still others the perfect feng shui bedroom, and so on. Whether there will be a wardrobe, a chest, bedside tables or a dressing table - the common denominator is that no matter what the bedroom looks like, it should provide a place to rest. The bed occupies a central position and it should be one on which to sleep comfortably and with pleasure to relax in it.
When choosing a bedroom, we advise you to make a list of your requirements and arrange them in order of importance. Undoubtedly, the following requirements will be listed:
- Place - size of the room, size of the bed;
- Mattress type - mattress, mattress (what kind);
- Wardrobe, furniture - what, where and for what;
- Functions - built-in chest, folding, retractable and others;
- Material - metal, wood, chipboard and others.
If, for example, the apartment is small, you can also get a small living room or study with a bed that retracts into the wall. In this case, you must be interested in the types of mechanisms and locking elements to ensure safety in operation.
To choose the right mattress for you, it is good to know in advance the advantages and disadvantages of different types. Mattresses are generally: hard and soft, single-sided and double-sided, spring and foam mattresses. In turn, some types of mattresses have "subspecies".
- Hard mattresses - this is a mattress that is often placed on a hard surface, most often chipboard. It can be made of foam or other material with high hardness, it can also have a surface layer of a special or natural material such as coconut fiber. This type is often preferred by people with spinal problems;
- Soft mattresses - these are most often spring mattresses. Spring mattresses are of two types. The first main type are mattresses with a spring frame. These are individual springs connected to each other in a single frame. The second type are POKET mattresses / pocket /. These are springs closed in separate textile pockets and glued in a cluster of a certain size. Poket technology is said to give lower noise levels and longer life of spring elements;
- The spring frame is covered with different materials to achieve the required qualities and hardness, and each mattress must contain a description with all the information about the properties and materials used in its production;
- Spring bases are also used for double-sided and single-sided mattresses. The difference is that in the case of the double-sided one both sides can be used, and in the case of the single-sided one only one, and the other is most often made of a wooden frame with a fiber surface. The single-sided one usually does not need a mattress frame. In the mattress industry, single mattresses are defined as a "cheap product". Double-sided mattresses allow the use of adaptive mattress frames, ie to adjust the position of your head or body. Also, the latter type of mattresses allow regular turning of the mattress, thus extending its life;
- Foam mattresses - it is good to know that all the materials used in these mattresses are "foam". All are based on polyurethane with different properties, such as memory foam, which is advertised as another type, but is also polyurethane.These mattresses are combinations of different types of polyurethane foam. This allows to create a huge variety of mattresses with different properties, hardness, thermal conductivity, air circulation, durability, etc.Everyone has heard of memory foam, and experts say that mattresses that use this foam are the best combination between price and quality of sleep. The ability to deform according to the load and temperature makes it an extremely popular material for the surface layer of mattresses. However, due to its properties, it cannot be used for a complete mattress. Memory foam is not used for baby mattresses and beds due to the risk of suffocation of the baby if he can not turn alone.
- Latex mattresses - latex mattresses are divided into natural and synthetic and in different brands the ratio of natural and artificial latex varies. Latex is said to be a natural hypoallergenic (low risk of allergies) and is recommended for people with such problems.Latex mattresses also have a division into hard, medium hard and soft. There are mattresses made of monolithic block latex and those made of layers of latex with intermediate layers of different materials with different thickness and properties. It is believed that in order for a monoblock latex mattress to be comfortable, there must be at least 5 comfort zones (zones of different hardness).
It is mandatory to approach with care and attention when choosing a bedroom, because if you do not like something, it will affect the feeling and quality of your rest.
